Jose Jalapenos history and inspiration came from two cultures, across two countries, family values, and a longtime dream of an opportunity of restaurant ownership. Jose migrated from Jalisco, Mexico to the USA at 13 years old and has been working in the restaurant industry since 1999. With his cultural roots, experiences and a deep passion for authentic Mexican cuisine, the dream started. Jose's wife- Megan, was born and raised in Columbia MO. When Jose and Megan decided to chase the dream, Megan said "there's no better place to chase a dream than in your hometown. Where you know the community and can share the dram with those you care about. Columbia is where we met, started our story together, and where our story should continue." Jose Jalapenos opened the first location in Columbia, Missouri, in May of 2013. What started as a young ambitious dream José Luis, Megan and their kids, grew to a second location opening in Ashland Missouri, December of 2016. Jose Jalapenos is known for their family friendly atmosphere, fresh ingredients, real recipes, community support, and a warm welcome every time.
